A message from the Decision Support Service:
You will be aware that the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015 is due to commence in June of this year. The DSS exists to promote the rights and interests of people who may need support with decision-making, in line with the provisions of the Act. If you wish to learn more about us, please visit our website: https://www.decisionsupportservice.ie/
To fulfil our role, we will need to receive, maintain and process personal data. This is any information about a person that identifies them such as name, address, date of birth etc. To register a decision-support arrangement, the DSS will have to collect certain documents. If you wish to find out more about your rights as a data subject, please visit the Data Protection Commission website: https://www.dataprotection.ie/.
We are required to undertake this public consultation to find out what data subjects think about the way we intend to process their data. We would be most grateful if you could take a few minutes (no more than 10 minutes) to complete the three questions in the online survey/ Questionnaire.
