CEO Statement regarding Temple Street

SBHI is aware of an ongoing investigation commissioned by the HSE into serious incidents which have occurred following several surgical spinal procedures at CHI at Temple Street. The CEO of SBHI, Gerry Maguire has said that he is “extremely disturbed by some of the information which has been drip-fed to both SBHI and, more alarmingly, to the families concerned. I am in constant discussion with CHI and the HSE and will not rest until I find out what exactly is going on. I would urge Minister Donnelly and Minister Rabbitte to make themselves aware of the absolute horror that this has visited upon parents and their advocates”.
